Get to Know Dr. Veronica Resek
Dr. Veronica Resek is an Illinois native who is passionate about creating positive, comfortable dental experiences for her patients. She especially enjoys building personal connections and helping patients feel relaxed and confident in the dental chair. Understanding that a visit to the dentist can sometimes feel stressful, Dr. Resek strives to make every appointment as comfortable and enjoyable as possible while providing high-quality, personalized care.
Why Did Dr. Resek
Become a Dentist?
Dr. Resek’s interest in dentistry began with her own experience as an orthodontic patient. After spending several years in braces, she developed an appreciation for the relationships dental professionals build with their patients and the difference they can make in someone’s health and confidence. While in college, she volunteered at a nonprofit dental clinic, an experience that further confirmed dentistry was the right career for her. She also organized a dental mission trip to Ghana, West Africa, where she volunteered alongside a dentist and experienced firsthand the impact accessible dental care can have on a community.
Where Did She Study Dentistry?
Dr. Resek completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois before earning her dental degree from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. During her dental education, she gained experience in both traditional and digital dentistry and graduated magna cum laude. She was also nominated by her professors for membership in the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society.
Committed to continuing education and staying current with advancements in dentistry, Dr. Resek has completed additional training and certifications in Invisalign and Zoom! Whitening and maintains BLS certification. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, and Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society.
Outside of the Office,
What Does Dr. Resek Like to Do?
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Resek enjoys spending time with her husband and their growing family, including their two adopted cats. Together, they love cheering on Chicago sports teams, traveling, spending time at the lake, and getting outdoors for family walks. Service also continues to be an important part of Dr. Resek’s life, and she enjoys participating in international mission trips that provide care and support to communities in need.
For Dr. Resek, dentistry is about much more than treating teeth. It is an opportunity to build lasting relationships, help patients feel at ease, and make a meaningful difference in their overall health and quality of life.
